Fall Guide 2022

Can you believe that summer is almost over???? School will be back in session soon and then the season of apples, pumpkins and all things spooky will be here. We have done some research on some of the activities going down this year in the tri-state area.

Where are the Harry Potter Fans??? Starting October 22, Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience is coming to Westchester County. While October appears to be sold out, there are still plenty of dates open in November and December. This interactive experience will enchant all wizards, witches and muggles alike.

Who doesn’t love when the leaves turn into the gorgeous reds, oranges and browns in the fall…well maybe Mel B and Sue don’t, they prefer summer, but Sissa loves all things fall (and winter). If you enjoy the fall foliage why not take a cruise up the Hudson River to see it all. Starting in September to November on Saturdays/Sundays Circle Line Cruises are offering a pleasant ride up to see it all. Tickets can be bought through this link and start at 8:30am. Onboard you will enjoy Oktoberfest snacks and will be able to disembark at Bear Mountain to hike around and enjoy the trails.

Another amazing event that goes on every fall is the NY Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, NY. Travel back in time to all things medieval with shows and shops!!! The Faire just opened for the season and runs on the weekends until the end of October. Click here for your tickets.

Two awesome Jack O’ Lantern experiences are Rise of the Jack O’ Lantern and The Great Jack O’ Lantern Blaze. Both are a great night out to see hundreds of carved pumpkins but this is the first year Rise is back after a two year hiatus with the pandemic. Tickets are going fast so reserve them ASAP.

Apple picking is a family favorite to do in the fall by everyone!!! While the spots are few on long island there are plenty of places in Rockland and Orange County. Most spots also have pumpkin picking and if you are lucky you can find a corn maze at one of them too!!! And for the adults looking for something a little extra there are plenty of winery’s who have fall activities.

Long Island Locations

Lewins Farms – not only can you pick apples but they have a great corn maze.

Wicham’s Fruit Farm

Hank’s Pumpkin Town

Rockland/Orange County Locations

If you make your way out to Pennsylvania, why not stop by Peddler’s Village for all things Autumn that they have going on there. It is a great little colonial style shopping and eating area that is right over the boarder. It is roughly 90 minutes from New York City and can provide a day of fun for the whole family.
